Epistolary sleuthing into letters of Robert Frost topic of talk
Friday, May 19, 2017

Two scholars of Robert Frost are coming to Fredonia to talk about the investigative process of finding, researching and publishing a single letter in the six-volume project “The Collected Letters of Robert Frost” (Harvard University Press, 2014-present; two volumes are published thus far) on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

Drs. Donald Sheehy and Robert Bernard Hass, both of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, are two of four current editors of the Collected Letters and are highly regarded for their work on Frost. They will talk both about the letters and about Frost's poems, and will also be on hand for an open-forum question and answer session to discuss any questions about Frost's writing, life and legacy.

The program, at 5 p.m. in Williams Center Room S204, is free and open to the public. It has been arranged by Dr. Natalie Gerber for the course ENGL 426 Major Authors, which is focusing on Frost this semester. Additional guest speakers are also planned.
