Learning Center now hiring tutors for 2018-2019

The Learning Center, which provides free tutoring in virtually all subject areas, is now hiring students to become part of the College Tutoring Services staff in the 2018-2019 academic year.

Tutors are paid to work a scheduled number of hours, typically two to four, in a drop-in arrangement. They may also be assigned to work privately with students registered in the Full Opportunity Program, Educational Development Program or office of Disability Support Services for Students.

“Working as a tutor not only pays, but has proven to be a golden credential for student seeking admission to graduate programs and competing for jobs, fellowships and teaching positions,” said Adam Hino, interim coordinator of CTS.

Applications are available at the Educational Development Program, located in Thompson Hall, the Learning Center, on the fourth floor of Reed Library, and online. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 9, at 4 p.m. All applications must be submitted at the Learning Center.
For more information, contact Mr. Hino at 673-3550 or via email.
