Fredonia launches donation campaign to benefit food pantry

Fredonia will host the Feeding Fredonia Challenge, a town-wide food donation drive to assist the Fredonia Food Pantry, from Monday through Friday, Oct. 15-19.

Donations of non-perishable food can be placed at various campus locations that include the Williams Center main entrance; Dods Hall, next to Athletics and Recreation offices; Fenton Hall, near the Sprout Café; Mason Hall, in the student lounge; Science Center, Room 221; and residence hall lobbies.

The Fredonia Food Pantry, which serves residents of Fredonia and surrounding communities as well as Fredonia students, is located at the Fredonia First Presbyterian Church, 219 Central Ave.

Students, faculty and staff of the university and community members are encouraged to support the campaign by making a donation. The challenge is being conducted by Alpha Phi Omega, Kappa Sigma, Volunteer Community Services intern Jason Marin and the Office of Volunteer and Community Services.
