SUNY Fredonia Well

Fredonia well water level in feet below land surface

Characteristics: Total depth of well 19.0 feet; PVC plastic casing screened from 14 to 19 feet deep

Aquifer: Aquifer is fractured top of shale bedrock and base of glacial till; the clayey till is 9 feet thick and lies beneath 10 feet of glacial lake silt, as known from continuous soil cores.

Remarks: No nearby pumping wells or streams; there is nearby seasonal or temporary standing water.
