Greetings to SUNY Model European Union participants from SUNY Fredonia!

On behalf of our students, faculty, and staff, I am pleased to welcome you to the largest, and best known, European Union simulation program.

SUNY Fredonia is pleased to be the host site for the exciting SUNY Model European Union program. When you arrive in Fredonia, you will find a selective residential liberal arts university of 5,000 undergraduates and 400 graduate students. SUNY Fredonia is one of the top ranked public universities in the United States, and currently ranks 7th in the nation for 4-year graduation rates. In addition to liberal arts and science degrees, the university offers creative and performing arts, interdisciplinary, and selective professional degrees. The Michael C. Rockefeller Arts Center, located on campus, is home to some of the best performing arts programs in the state of New York.

Fredonia is a charming and culturally-rich Western New York village on Lake Erie, midway between Buffalo, New York and Erie, Pennsylvania. In 2006, the village of Fredonia was named the "#1 place to live in western New York" by Business First.

I hope you find our beautiful and friendly campus a warm and welcoming place. Enjoy your stay and good luck at the simulation!
