Students who did not attend a previous summer orientation and have paid their admission deposit will receive a packet of information in the mail in early August with detailed information about the August Orientation, Advising and Registration that occurs on Saturday, August 23rd and Sunday, August 24th. 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 23, 2008

9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.              NEW STUDENT ARRIVAL             Residence Hall

 

New students planning to live on campus should move into their residence hall today to allow ample time to settle in before the Orientation and Advising program that begins at 2:00 p.m.

 

Please pick up your orientation folder in the Lobby of the University Commons (outside of the bookstore).  You should proceed to the FSA Office in Gregory Hall to obtain your ID Card and meal plan.

 

 

SUNY ID CARDS & MEAL PLAN SELECTION

FSA Office, 1st floor, Gregory Hall:  ID cards and meal plans will be issued Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. throughout the week.

There are many services available on campus to assist you on your educational journey.  You will learn about Student Affairs, Campus Life, Counseling, Career Development, Learning Center, and Multicultural Affairs.

Hosted by current Fredonia students, this session will familiarize you with student life at SUNY Fredonia. Learn about extra curricular activities and review the Student Survival Guide.  This is your time to ask questions!   

 

4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.        FSA and STUDENT ACCOUNTS      McEwen Room 209

Receive information and ask your questions regarding administrative services including meal plans, FredCard, the SUNY Fredonia Debit Account, bill payment options & deadlines, parking permits, employment opportunities and more.

 

 

4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.    NUTS AND BOLTS OF PAYING       McEwen Room 209

                                         FOR YOUR EDUCATION    

 Staff from the Office of Financial Aid will present information on how to finalize your financial aid awards for the 2008-2009 award year.

7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.             RESIDENCE HALL ORIENTATION 

Held in the main lounge area of your residence hall:  An opportunity to meet your Residence Director and Resident Assistants and learn about Residence Life.
