PDC Associates Program

The Associates Program calls upon the talents and expertise of The State University of New York at Fredonia’s faculty and staff to offer professional development programming to the campus community. PDC Associates offer workshops during the Spring/Fall semesters, and collaborate with PDC staff on the creation of a webcast related to one of his/her workshop offerings.

About the Associates:


Interested in becoming a PDC Associate?

PDC Associates will be expected to offer a series of four professional development workshops during the Spring/Fall semesters (two workshops per semester), and collaborate with PDC staff on the creation of a webcast related to one of his/her workshop offerings. Potential program tracks include, but are not limited to:

  • Academic Writing and Publishing
  • Research Methods and Creative Processes
  • High-Impact, Student-Centered Teaching practices (For example: First-year Seminars, Undergraduate Research, Collaborative Learning, Learning Communities, Inclusive Classrooms, Internships, Capstone Courses and Projects, Active Learning, Collaborative Learning, Cross-Cultural Teaching & Learning, International Students and Classroom Pedagogy, Multidisciplinary Teaching, etc.)
  • Civic Engagement and Global Connections
  • Community Engagement and Service Learning
  • Sustainability (Environmental, Economic, Academic)
  • Assessment (Student Learning Outcomes, Program Assessment, Institutional Effectiveness, Efficacy and Implications of Assessment)
  • Enrollment, Recruitment and Retention
  • Or, feel free to propose a track!

Associates will receive $750 in extra service pay as compensation. 

Application Procedures:

Use the electronic submission form available at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2015_associates. Please review the form before writing your proposal, and be prepared to provide the following information:
  • The name of the program track for which you are applying to serve as Associate. Please feel free to propose a track that is currently not listed.
  • Titles and descriptions for two workshops you would be offering. Please provide a detailed description of learning objectives, as well as methods you will employ to actively engage your audience.
  • A description of your target audience.
  • A brief description of your qualifications and interests regarding the program track.
  • A copy of your current curriculum vitae or resume.
Deadline for Application: Wednesday, December 3rd at noon
