Scholars Invited to Participate: Collective Memory Research and Writing Colloquium
Beginning in the Spring Semester 2012, scholars from across the university will be meeting regularly to share work centered around collective memory research. The colloquium will serve as a forum in which research at all stages of development, and from all academic disciplines, is welcome for discussion.
Participants are invited to workshop project ideas, writing in-progress, or share published research. The colloquium will be a place where the participants can make connections, recognizing common methods and differences across disciplines. Prior to each meeting, one of the participants will be asked to circulate a work-in-progress or a published work, as well as a short piece from their discipline that helps shape or illuminate their understanding of collective memory. At the meetings, the featured researcher will give a brief introduction to the works and then the group will discuss the pieces.
