Learning, Teaching, Scholarship & Service Series
Today, through the scholarship of teaching and learning, we have a much greater understanding of how students learn and the pedagogical practices that best promote student learning. Because improving as a teacher is a life-long challenge, the PDC Learning and Teaching Series provides faculty with opportunities to explore and share best teaching practices both in the traditional classroom setting and in an online environment. Activities related to research, grant writing, and creative activities are also included in this series.
Personal Health & Wellness Series
There is no easy solution to finding the right balance between our work and home lives. The stresses and challenges in both worlds can often leave us feeling “drained” and can interfere with our physical and emotional wellbeing. The PDC Personal Health & Wellness Series is designed to help individuals discover a work/home balance and encourage healthy living so that we are productive both at home and in the workplace. Also offered in this series are activities designed to build community and personal connections between the many campus departments and programs.
Who We Are &What We Do
SUNY Fredonia’s success is dependent upon the quality and coordination of the many services, programs, and departments that exist on campus. Given SUNY Fredonia’s size and complexity, many people are unsure of how each organization contributes to the college’s mission. Therefore, each month, a different campus group will be invited to speak about their campus functions, staffing, resources, and responsibilities.
