On October 29, 2009 SUNY Fredonia's Professional Development Center presented "Spoon-N-Eggs to Beyonce: The Evolution of a Professional Development Center" at the POD Conference. Below are the handouts, directions, presentation, and video that were used during the presentation. The presentation was given in person by Dr. Beez Schell and joined via Skype by Dawn Eckenrode, PDC Board Chair, and Lisa Melohusky, Instructional Designer.
During the workshop requests were made to share some of the tools that SUNY Fredonia used in getting the PDC started and certain programs. Below are links to that information.
- Needs Assessment Report: This report was shared March 18, 2008 and was the result of a committee's work on gathering information on what needs the faculty and staff on campus had. The appendix describes the questions used to survey the campus as well as a description of the focus groups and process that was followed.
- PDC Associates: For more information about this program visit www.fredonia.edu/pdc/pdcprograms.asp. A link to view the application is available at the end of that page, but to go there directly visit http://www.fredonia.edu/pdc/pdf/associates2.pdf.
