CREATIVE AGENCY PROJECT (CAP) INTERNSHIP

WHAT IS CAP?
The Public Relations department is forming an in-house multimedia creative agency of students, run as an internship for academic credit. The Creative Agency Project (CAP) will build digital media for university marketing and create HD video and multimedia used in campus news coverage, published on the campus web site.

DESCRIPTION
CAP is a 3-credit internship with the university's Public Relations department. It will focus on creating content for web, HD video, and media used in campus news and marketing—e.g., web sites, videos, podcasts, interviews, animation, illustration, slideshows, etc. Students will collaborate in a creative agency model, working in 2–4 person interdisciplinary project teams. To help students build their portfolios, they will be given name credits on published projects.

STUDIO & LOCATION
During the Spring 2011 semester, the CAP studio is temporarily located on the first floor of Reed Library between the two computer study rooms, on the west wall of the library, just before you enter the Carnahan-Jackson Learning Annex.

ELIGIBILITY
CAP is designed for self-directed junior- and senior-level students majoring in Communication, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Photography, New Media, Public Relations, Journalism, and other, related areas. Any student with an interest in contributing to the creative agency work is welcome.

APPLICATION
Interested students are asked to apply to Public Relations, below, with a portfolio of their current work in audio, video, animation, design, motion graphics, writing, or other media. With limited available space, the CAP opportunity is expected to be competitive.
