CREATIVE AGENCY PROJECT (CAP) INTERNSHIP
WHAT IS CAP?
The
Public Relations department is forming an in-house multimedia creative
agency of students, run as an internship for academic credit. The
Creative Agency Project (CAP) will build digital media for university
marketing and create HD video and multimedia used in campus news
coverage, published on the campus web site.
DESCRIPTION
CAP
is a 3-credit internship with the university's Public Relations
department. It will focus on creating content for web, HD video, and
media used in campus news and marketing—e.g., web sites, videos,
podcasts, interviews, animation, illustration, slideshows, etc. Students
will collaborate in a creative agency model, working in 2–4 person
interdisciplinary project teams. To help students build their
portfolios, they will be given name credits on published projects.
STUDIO & LOCATION
During the Spring 2011 semester, the
CAP studio is temporarily located on the first floor of Reed Library between the two computer study rooms, on the west wall of the library, just before you enter the Carnahan-Jackson Learning Annex.
The future, permanent home for CAP will be the former campus Print shop (shown at right), located in Gregory Hall, between the
FSA and Residence Life offices. More details are available at http://fredonia.edu/pr/cap/studio.
ELIGIBILITY
CAP
is designed for self-directed junior- and senior-level students
majoring in Communication, Computer Science, Graphic Design,
Photography, New Media, Public Relations, Journalism, and other, related
areas. Any student with an interest in contributing to the creative
agency work is welcome.
APPLICATION
Interested
students are asked to apply to Public Relations, below, with a
portfolio of their current work in audio, video, animation, design,
motion graphics, writing, or other media. With limited available space,
the CAP opportunity is expected to be competitive.
