Project MAST2ER Mentor Training
Session I: Session II:
August 5, 6 & 7 August 20, 21 & 22
Ms. Kristin Longhouse, owner of KDL Associates, will present two and a half days of mentor training to 17 recruited mentor teachers from the Jamestown, Dunkirk, and Fredonia Schools in two sessions. Her focus will include mentoring techniques, professional practices, instructional practices, understanding the APPR, and more.
Ms. Longhouse utilizes both Enhancing Professional Practice: A Framework for Teaching by Charlotte Danielson and Classroom Instruction that Works: Research-Based Strategies for Increasing Student Achievement by Robert Marzano as well as her own materials. Participants will receive a copy of Enhancing Professional Practice: A Framework for Teaching by Charlotte Danielson.
Additionally, Ms. Longhouse will focus on mentoring both new teachers and teacher candidates during field experiences.
Dr. Barbara Mallette, Professor Emeritus and Co-PI for Project Mast2er, will present a half day training on Data-based decision making during Session I. Dr. Kathleen Gradel will present the half day training on Data-based decision making during Session II.
