BRIDGE Follow Up Teacher Workshop, January 2013

 

Mentor Training, August 2012

Ms. Kristin Longhouse, owner of KDL Associates, presented three days of mentor training to six recruited mentor teachers from the Jamestown and Dunkirk Schools. Her focus included mentoring techniques, professional practices, instructional practices, understanding the APPR, and more. Ms. Longhouse utilized both Enhancing Professional Practice: A Framework for Teaching by Charlotte Danielson and Classroom Instruction that Works: Research-Based Strategies for Increasing Student Achievement by Robert Marzano as well as her own materials. Participants received a copy of all resources. Additionally, Ms. Longhouse focused on mentoring both new teachers and teacher candidates during field experiences. An overview of the training is included here:
