Karen Robinson is a professional executive with twenty plus years experience in the
educational industry nationally. She has provided expert assistance to local and district
level administrators by assessing institutional needs, providing strategies for increased
success and evaluating progress. As an accomplished administrator with a wide range
of expertise Karen has successfully managed large organizations as well as increased
achievement in the educational community.
Kristin Longhouse, KDL Associates
Kristin Longhouse is a teacher, educational consultant and owner of KDL Associates.
With over 15 years experience in the classroom and in staff development, Mrs. Longhouse
conducts teacher training across Western New York. After spending many years in both
the Fourth and Second Grades, Mrs. Longhouse is currently a Kindergarten teacher in
the Lancaster Central School District. As staff development specialists, Mrs. Longhouse
and her staff focus on current trends and best practices in education. KDL Associates
provides staff development to local school districts, teacher centers and universities
on topics ranging from Instructional Technology, Effective Questioning Strategies,
Writer's Workshop, Behavior Strategies for students with Special Needs to Poetry Instruction.
Kristin's favorite offerings are Mentoring and New Teacher Training which lend perfectly
to her work with Project Mast2er.
Barbara Mallette, Professor Emeritus, SUNY Fredonia
Effective Instructional Strategies for English Language Learners
Dr. Barbara Mallette, lead author and Co-Principal investigator for Project MAST2ER has an extensive teaching experience in urban and rural settings. Her research focus
has always been on teaching diverse student population with disabilities or reading
difficulties and pupils from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. This interest
led the way for her to write this grant that was approved and sponsored by US Department
As a Co-Principal Investigator of Project MAST2ER, Dr. Mallette has the responsibility of overseeing the grant making sure of the
fidelity of implementation. She also serves as the faculty liaison and the SUNY Fredonia
partner for this project. She presents and selects the professional development workshops
for the school teachers and also for faculty participants. Her goal as a Co-PI is
use the data and outcomes of this Project as a local research that can has national
impact on the education of ELLs.
Dr. Mallette is always willing to cooperate, accept suggestions and make any changes
necessary to impro
ve the grant. Project MAST2ER is fortunate to have her as Co-PI because of her experience as a grant writer, teacher,
professor, and researcher in national and international venues.
