Three sophomores – Garrett Hart, Anthony Johnson and Ben Gardner – gather outside of University Commons on Wednesday to savor the warm, mid-day sun.

With sunshine bathing the entire campus on Wednesday of last week, students, faculty and administrators gather in a circle to commemorate the planting of a new dogwood tree and recognize family members who remain important people in their lives.

Last week’s sunshine was enough to spur the buds on these trees, near the Williams Center entrance opposite Mason Hall, to bloom – a sure sign that spring has finally arrived at the SUNY Fredonia campus, and that Commencement will soon be here.
