Welcome new faculty!

New faculty were among those introduced at the first All Campus Meeting of the 2004-05 academic year. The faculty are:

Dr. Emily Auger, Visiting Assistant Professor of Visual Arts and New Media. Dr. Auger earned her Ph.D. in Art at the University of Victoria (British Columbia) in 1984 and most recently was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the College of Art at Wichita State University, Kansas.
Dr. Katherine Barker, Assistant Professor of Business Administration. Dr. Barker received her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Arkansas in 1999 and was most recently an Associate Professor of Accounting in the School of Business and Public Policy at Lander University. 
Dr. H. Christian Bernhard II, Assistant Professor of Music. Dr. Barker received his Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro in 2003 and was most recently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music Education at SUNY Fredonia.Dr. Christian Bernhard II
Dr. Cindy Bird, Assistant Professor of Education. Dr. Bird earned her Ph.D. in Education from the University of Toronto in 2004 and was most recently a Teacher Education Program Assistant at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.Dr. Cindy Bird
Dr. Marian Bleeke, Assistant Professor of Visual Arts and New Media. Dr. Bleeke earned her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 2001 and was most recently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History at Southern Illinois University.Dr. Marian Bleeke
Dr. Leonard Brown, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Anthropology. Dr. Brown earned his Juris Doctorate from the Southern University School of Law in 1981 and was most recently an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice at Northern Arizona University.Dr. Leonard Brown
Fr. Sean Duggan, Assistant Professor of Music. Fr. Duggan earned his M.F.A. in Piano Performance from Carnegie Mellon University in 1979 and was most recently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan. 
Dr. Lisa Edwards, Visiting Assistant Professor of History. Dr. Edwards received her Ph.D. in Latin American History from Tulane University and was most recently a Visiting Assistant Professor of History at Valparaiso University. 
Dr. Christ Gaetanos, Assistant Professor of Business Administration. Dr. Gaetanos earned his Juris Doctorate from the University at Buffalo in 1979 and was most recently a Visiting Assistant Professor at SUNY Fredonia. 
Dr. Natalie Gerber, Visiting Assistant Professor of English. Dr. Gerber received her Ph.D. in English from the University of California-Berkeley in 2001 most recently served as an Editorial Assistant for Barnes and Noble University.Dr. Natalie Gerber
Dr. Christine Givner, Dean of the College of Education. Dr. Givner earned her Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Pittsburgh in 1987 and was most recently the Chair of the Division of Special Education and a Professor of Special Education at California State University, Los Angeles.Dr. Christine Givner
Dr. Jennifer Hildebrand, Assistant Professor of History. Dr. Hildebrand received her Ph.D. in History from the University of California-Riverside and was most recently a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Nebraska.Dr. Jennifer Hildebrand
Mr. Matthew Kenyon, Assistant Professor of Visual Arts and New Media. Mr. Kenyon received his M.F.A from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2002 and was most recently an Assistant Professor of New Media at the University of Montevallo.Mr. Matthew Kenyon
Dr. Patricia Leigh, Assistant Professor of Speech Pathology and Audiology. Dr. Leigh earned her Ph.D. in Communicative Disorders and Sciences from the University at Buffalo in 2003 and was most recently an Adjunct Professor at Canisius College. 
Dr. Kathleen Lesniak, Assistant Professor of Education. Dr. Lesniak earned her Ph.D. in Learning and Instruction (Science Education) from the University at Buffalo in 2003 and was most recently an adjunct professor with a postdoctoral fellowship at SUNY at Buffalo.Dr. Kathleen Lesniak
Dr. Peter McCord, Visiting Assistant Professor of History. Dr. McCord earned his Ph.D. in History at the University of California-Riverside in 2003 and was most recently an instructor at the University of Nebraska. 
Dr. Shannon McRae, Assistant Professor of English. Dr. McRae earned her Ph.D. in English from the University of Washington in 1999 and was most recently a Visiting Assistant Professor of English at SUNY Fredonia.Dr. Shannon McRae
Dr. Kenneth Nagelberg, Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication. Dr. Nagelberg earned his Ph.D. in Speech Communication from Pennsylvania State University in 1989 and was most recently an Assistant Professor of Television Production at the SUNY College at Buffalo. 
Ms. Averl Otis, Director of Multicultural Affairs. Ms. Otis earned her M.M. at Central Connecticut State University in 2004 and was most recently the Coordinator of Multicultural Student Activities (Unity Center) at Eastern Connecticut State University.Ms. Averl Otis
Dr. Darryl Parr, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Anthropology. Dr. Parr received her Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Maryland and was most recently an Educator in Army Community Service in Stuttgart, Germany.Dr. Darryl Parr
Mr. Curtis Phillips, Assistant Professor of Theatre and Dance. Mr. Phillips received his M.F.A. in Scenic Design from the University of Wisconsin and most recently served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at SUNY Fredonia. Mr. Phillips is a member of the SUNY Fredonia Class of 1994. 
Dr. Peter S. Reinelt, assistant professor of economics. He has been a visiting professor at Fredonia since 2001. After earning his doctorate at Berkeley, his post-doctoral research at Carnegie Mellon University studied climatic change in decision making under uncertainty, especially in the U.S. electric sector. Dr. Glenn Spielmans, Assistant Professor of Psychology. Dr. Spielmans earned his Ph.D. in Clinical/Counseling/School Psychology from Utah State University in 2004 and was most recently a Clinical Psychology Intern at the Indiana University School of Medicine. 
Dr. Charles Stoddart, Assistant Professor of Education. Dr. Stoddart received his Ed.D. from the University of Northern Colorado and was most recently Superintendent of Schools for the Orchard Park Central School District.Dr. Charles Stoddart
Ms. Janet Sung, Assistant Professor of Music. Ms. Sung earned her Master's Degree in Violin Performance from The Juilliard School in 1998 and was most recently a Starling-DeLay Institute Fellow at The Juilliard School. 
Dr. Kay Ann Taylor, Assistant Professor of Education. Dr. Taylor earned her Ph.D. at Iowa State University in 2001 and was most recently a Lecturer at Iowa State University.Dr. Kay Ann Taylor
Dr. Jonathan Titus, Assistant Professor of Biology. Dr. Titus received his Ph.D. in Botany from the University of Washington in 1995 and was most recently an Assistant Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Columbia University. 
Mr. Eric Wills, School of Music Lecturer. Mr. Wills earned his M.M. in Composition at SUNY Fredonia, where he was previously an adjunct instructor. Dr. Wills is also a SUNY Fredonia alum.
