Residence Hall: the new four-story structure will comprise a 124-bed residence hall (the first built at SUNY Fredonia since 1970); consisting of air-conditioned, premium rooms:

  1. 58 single rooms
  2. 28 double rooms
  3. 3 fully accessible single rooms
  4. 3 Resident Advisor single rooms
  5. 2 guest rooms
  6. 1 Faculty in-residence apartment
  7. 1 Resident Director apartment
  8. The second, third, and fourth floors will have laundry rooms, lounge areas, and a storage room.

Auxiliary Services Complex Second Floor: The renovation of the current two-story structure will expand the kitchen and serving area of Cranston Dining Center on the second floor. The design of the food service operation on the second floor will replace a traditional caféteria with a modified version of the Marché (market place) concept. The Marché concept eliminates the need for a back kitchen and preparation area, placing those activities within a larger and more free-form serving area. Preparation and cooking occur in view of the customers.

Auxiliary Services Complex First Floor: The main entry point for the Auxiliary Services Complex will be a modest atrium/lobby, which provides a link to the second floor food service operation and the first floor retail operations, consisting of:

  1. a new, larger campus bookstore (this will replace current bookstore located in Williams Center);
  2. a new campus convenience store;
  3. a new bookstore café.
