The State University of New York at Fredonia hired new faculty in preparation for the 2004-2005 academic year, including the following tenure-track individuals:
 
Dr. Katherine Barker, Assistant Professor of Business Administration. Dr. Barker received her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Arkansas in 1999 and was most recently an Associate Professor of Accounting in the School of Business and Public Policy at Lander University.
 
Dr. H. Christian Bernhard II, Assistant Professor of Music. Dr. Barker received his Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro in 2003 and was most recently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music Education at SUNY Fredonia.
 
Dr. Cindy Bird, Assistant Professor of Education. Dr. Bird earned her Ph.D. in Education from the University of Toronto in 2004 and was most recently a Teacher Education Program Assistant at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.
