Established in 1926, Route 66 originally ran almost 2,500 miles taking travelers between Chicago and Los Angeles via Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. It became one of the most travelled roadways in the U.S. See all the sights on the road that was known as "The Main Street of America" in its heyday.
