A vision for regionalism with a rural focus

The Center for Rural Regional Development and Governance at SUNY Fredonia was founded through a grant from the Gebbie Foundation of Jamestown, N.Y., in 1997.

The center's mission is to promote regionalism (the sharing between municipalities) and find ways to energize the local economy.

The Center is one of eight university resources that serve as technical assistance centers for the NYS Shared Municipal Services Program.
