Almost Home Contest
The Almost Home Contest was established to encourage the sense of community within each residence hall. Our students take pride in keeping Fredonia's residence hall's number one across all SUNY campuses and this contest honors those that have made their home away from home the best it could be.
Each Residence Hall will conduct their individual contest during the weeks of November 7-11. The winners of each hall will be submitted to the Almost Home Committee and we will judge the campus contest during the week of November 28 - December 3.
Each room entered must follow these guidelines:
- All furniture must be legal as per the housing license, i.e. no lofts, and no paneling adhered to the walls
- No painting on walls Original furniture must be in room and accounted for
- No ceiling fans
- No blockage of any fire detecting devices
- No suite or rec room furniture
- The judging will be based on:
- Best use of space and furniture
- Creativity
- Neatness Appropriateness
- Overall Appearance
