Buffalo News Kid's Day

Buffalo News Kids Day

Buffalo News Kids Day started on the Fredonia campus ten years ago. Its purpose is to raise money for Children's Hospital and Roswell Park in Buffalo as well as donating money to the Jerry Lewis Telethon every year. This program takes place during the early spring months and all participants are volunteers who wake up early in the morning to sell special editions of the Buffalo News from 6 - 9 am. This is to catch many people on their way to work. Volunteers stand on street corners throughout the Village of Fredonia, City of Dunkirk and Brocton. In the past ten years SUNY Fredonia has raised over $34,000.
