Buffalo News Kids Day
Buffalo News Kids Day started on the Fredonia campus nine years ago. Its purpose is to raise money for Children's Hospital and Roswell Park in Buffalo as well as donating money to the Jerry Lewis Telethon every year. This program typically takes place during the early winter months and all participants are volunteers who wake up early in the morning to sell special editions of the Buffalo News from 6 - 9 am. This is to catch many people on their way to work. Volunteers stand on street corners throughout the Village of Fredonia, City of Dunkirk, Brocton, and Pomfret. For the past two years SUNY Fredonia has raised $2000 each year.
