Residence Director
A Residence Director (R.D.) lives in each residence hall. The Residence Director works in a supervisory capacity with his/her staff members. The R.D. is a chief resource person within the residence hall area, has many administrative duties, and serves as a liaison with the central housing office.
He/she is a chief referral agent to other campus agencies and offices, is involved in the staff selection of other Residence Directors, Resident Assistants, desk receptionists, and is frequently used to support the work force in various Student Affairs offices. Many R.D's are also graduate students and as such have a responsibility to their academic pursuits.
