ResNet employs roughly 8-10 students during the semester in the following positions:

  • Secretary - Answers telephone, schedules appointments, and files necessary paperwork.
  • RCC (Resident Computer Consultant) - Handles in-room support calls as well as other various projects during the semester.

Prerequisites
When applying for an RCC or Secretary position, you must:

  • Be a currently registered undergraduate student at SUNY Fredonia.
  • Live in an on-campus residence hall.
  • Have at least a 2.5 GPA.
  • Have an adequate technical aptitude.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Hours
Typically, RCCs should expect to work:

  • 15+ hours during move-in weekend and through the first few weeks of the semester.
  • 10-15 hours per week during the semester or a maximum of 20 hrs/week.

Responsibilities
All RCCs must:

  • Attend ResNet training prior to fall and spring semesters.
  • Actively participate in ResNet SWAT, the on-site technical support for residence halls at the beginning of the fall semester.
  • Follow all policies and procedures.
