Who are we?
We are the Kappa Chapter of Sigma Gamma Phi, also known as the Arethusa Sorority.
What is Arethusa?
Arethusa is our original name, our greek letters, ΣΓΦ, were adopted in 1955.
What are we all about?
We are the women of our future. We live by our six ideals: Sisterhood, Loyalty, Unity, Graciousness, Dignity and Wisdom.
Do we ever give back to the community?
Of course! For many years Arethusa has volunteered in a variety of events such as: Miracle on Main Street, Karaoke for a Cause, Send Care Over Seas, Buffalo News Kids Day, Bar Crawl for Breast Cancer, Kindness Above Malice, Relay for Life and MANY more. Sisters volunteer in blood drives and in nursing homes, and help to make our campus a better place. Our philanthropies are Breast Cancer and March of Dimes; we participate in walks for these annually.
