Our Goal is to Inform people of the many Problems we face in the world today, and help everyone find the tools they need to make our towns and our nation better. So that we can coexist with each other and the planet, through creating a more democratic, non-violent, just, and sustainable world.
Our events should promote political change and the ideas of the green party. We want the government and all citizens to hear our ideas and see how we can live better.
Always use events to get people signed up for the Listserv and help the Campus Greens grow.
Event Ideas Below
Make your Event BIG!
- Have professors announce the event to their classes - the political science department, Journalism department, and any interested professors will announce the event to their class, some will even give students extra credit for attending.
- Talk to the Leader - they might include something about your event in an article if it is newsworthy, your event might be about something that is current and in the news.
- Make sure your Flyers Stand out - use graphics colors pictures and bold statements to set your flyers apart from the others on the bulletin boards.
- Think of it from the viewers perspective - Pay attention to the way your flyer communicates to the viewer, what do the see first, why might they want to attend.
- Make sure your flyers don't get covered up - Check your flyers often, make sure they are visible until the event date.
- Make Big flyers - get some large flyers professionally printed in Fredonia, look up 'printing' in the phonebook.
- Do another round - Hang up a second or third set of flyers the day before the event, people will notice them because they are new and they will see the event is soon, hopefully this will help them remember.
- Place Flyers carefully - imagine you were just a regular person walking by, make sure your flyers are in the most obvious place, at eye level, in plain sight.
- Tell your friends - use email, Instant Messager, and whatever other means possible to make people know that this is going to be an awesome event.
