For Group Members

The website is large, so this section will help group members find things that they can use. There are lots of resources here that that will be useful in promoting the Fredonia Campus Greens.

  • Flyers - You can download two versions of a flyer that advertises the group, its meeting time, and the website. The flyers are very eye catching, one can be cut into fourths and handed out at events, the other can be posted on bulletin boards and it has pull tabs for people to take. If the meeting time changes simply print out a different time and tape it over the old one on the flyer before making copies. Link..

  • Event Tips - a list compiled by very active and experienced group members, to help future generations get up and running quickly and successfully. Link..
  • Event ideas - a long list of event ideas, many of which have been successfully done in the past. Link..
  • Download our Logo - to use on flyers and EVERYTHING that you print. There are 3 different sizes 10x7in, 5x3.5in, 3x2in, also on the advertising page. Link..
  • Button Graphics - can be used for flyers, stickers and whatever else, they are thought provoking pictures that happen to be button sized. You can download hi-res images from the buttons page just click the picture. Link..
  • Finding Information and Resources about the issues - the links page is devided into sections and should help you find documentaries, alternative news stories, pamphlets, petitions, flyers, national events and lots of other stuff. Link..

  • The Home Page and the Message System - The home page uses a Content Management System called Textpattern, you will need a password in order to post there. New group members can e-mail

    For help formatting your posts, making text bold, putting links in and etc, click on the "Textile Help" link. On the screen where you write a new post you will notice the Textile Help link on the left of the page, a list of formatting codes will pop open and remain there for quick refferance while you are writing your post.
    This message system allows All Group Members to Post Messages on the Homepage, even if they don't know how to code HTML, it's as easy as sending an e-mail. Use the Homepage for announcements, events, meeting agendas, news articles, opinions, communication or anything else, it is a great tool for the group. This service is provided free of charge by a former group member.

    Features of Textpattern:
    You can update your Meeting Times and Contact Information as it changes. You will see a link on the homepage labeled"Looking for Meeting Times, Contact Info, and other current information?" Under that link is some group information that changes over time, such as meeting times, contact information, Executive Board Members, and etc. This page can be edited by Members simply find the original message in the article history. The article is called "Group Information" and it is one of the first articles published on the site, (to find past articles login and go to: content - > articles)
    Also if there is an announcement or something you would like to display at the top of the Homepage, you can do that as well. It will be displayed just below where it says "Welcome" on the Homepage. (change announcement under: admin -> Preferences 'site tagline')
  • Discussion Board Service - Anyone can post on the Discussion Board, members and non-members alike. Members may want to sign up to get automatic updates from the discussion board, so that if anyone posts a message the member will receive a notification. To sign up, post a new message and click the check box "receive automatic updates" before submitting the message, make sure to enter your e-mail. The Discussion Board is provided by Server.com, go to their website to find information about payment and maintenance. The message board ID is #219198. It costs about $50 per year to keep the board free of annoying advertisements.
