Habitat for Humanity at Fredonia is a great way for students to become involved in the community outside the school. Volunteering is very important to me, and I know it is for others as well. Knowing that you are helping others around this area who are a lot less fortunate than you are is a wonderful, rewarding feeling, and it's a good way to get off campus and see the surrounding towns.- Jillian Lang

Where We Build{top of page}

True Stories{top of page}

I have been involved with Habitat for Humanity since it was first started as a class project in the Advanced Leadership Development Class. I remember how dedicated my classmates and I were in forming a group on campus and developing a campus chapter. We began volunteering in Jamestown and forming future goals. We learned so much about each other and those people who are less fortunate then us. I am so proud to have been apart of that experience and still be a part of Habitat for Humanity today as it is becoming a part of the Fredonia campus. There are so many new faces and new ideas since Habitat first started at Fredonia. The people that make up Habitat are absolutely wonderful individuals and their leadership skills and dedication do not go unnoticed. Thank you to everyone who has made SUNY Fredonia campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity everything that it is today.

Habitat for Humanity is a good club to join. Everytime I go and help out at the houses, I feel so great about myself. Not only am I learning how to build and fix houses, and helping others, but I am also having fun in the process.- Courtney Wahl

How It Works{top of page}

Habitat for Humanity is a great organization because we directly help the community. I think that it is important to help those that are less fortunate. Habitat for Humanity is just one way to do this. Our campus chapter of Habitat is a great way to meet new people and have fun, while helping others as well. It is great to see the willingness and kindness of our members to reach out and help the other people around us.- Nicole Killion
