The Science Center Courtyard

One of the special aspects of the design of the new Science Building and the way that it is sited is the formation of a Science Center Courtyard between the two buildings. There will be views into the courtyard from both wings of the new building, Houghton Hall and the Science Quad. The curved walkways from the quad will invite pedestrians into the new building and the courtyard. Meant to be both a learning and a reflective place, the courtyard will have a variety of plants, trees and geologic features.
