The Science Center Courtyard

One of the special aspects of the design of the new Science Building is the way that it is sited adjacent to Houghton Hall.  The two buildings wrap around a new Science Courtyard. There are terrific views into the courtyard from both wings of the new building, Houghton Hall and the Science Quad. The curved walkways from the quad invite pedestrians into the new building and the courtyard. Meant to be both a learning and a reflective place, the courtyard has a variety of plants, trees and geologic features.
