COLLEGE SENATE PERSONNEL & STRUCTURELink to Organizational Chart Senators. Senators are elected proportionally: 1 senator per 20 constituents. The number of senators will be evenly distributed among the 3 areas: Arts & Humanities, Natural & Social Sciences and Education, Professional Staff. Executive Committee. The executive committee consists of: · Chair Budgetary Advisors. Budgetary Advisors are selected by the Executive Committee based on their expertise in fiscal matters. There are three advisors, one from each academic division and one from the professional staff. Budgetary Advisors report to the Executive Committee regularly and submit a formal report to the Senate at least once per annum. They serve as the Senate's liaison to the administration on budgetary matters. Standing Committees. There are three standing committees dedicated toward policy development. The chair of each standing committee will receive course/load release. Standing committees appoint ad hoc subcommittees, as working committees on an as needed basis. The three standing committees are: Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Faculty & Professional Committee.
Sub-Committees. Subcommittees are working committees of standing committees. They report to the standing committee chair. Chairs of sub-committees meet regularly with the chair of the standing committee and submit two reports per semester to that committee. Ad hoc sub-committees are automatically dissolved upon completion of their assigned task.
