| I have had an interest in trains since my youth and model building has kept my hands busy all of my life. I have spent much of my spare time creating a miniature railroad that I wish to share with you on this web page. This miniature world represents a moment in the Fall of 190l, when an imaginary, three-foot gauge railroad served an important function in transporting coal and precious metals. The Jewel River Railroad had built a branch line up North Creek where an important new source of gold ore had been found. I am modeling this whole branch line, from Harrington Junction on the main line up through the towns of Ridgeback and Red Rock to the end of line at Gold Creek. The railroad is modeled in HO scale (3.5 mm = 1 foot) |
