In celebration of the Grand Opening of the Juliet J. Rosch Recital Hall, the School of Music will present world renowned pianist Peter Serkin in solo recital on October 30, 2004.

Recognized as an artist of passion and integrity, American pianist Peter Serkin is one of the most thoughtful and individualistic musicians appearing before the public today. "He is one of the supreme musicians of our time" (New York Magazine).

This event, the inaugural performance in the greatly anticipated Juliet J. Rosch Recital hall, will serve as part of a major fundraising initiative to advance the mission of the School of Music, and is the debut performance of the Rosch Musical Arts Series, a new annual series of innovative, high-visibility public concerts and lectures featuring at least one performance by an internationally recognized guest artist.

On October 30, 2004, audiences will have the rare opportunity to hear a solo recital by a world renowned concert artist in a beautiful and intimate space. With just 500 seats, this state-of-the-art venue is the perfect setting for solo and chamber recitals. The Gala will be a formal event (black-tie optional) aimed at bringing alumni and the greater community to Fredonia to celebrate the opening of Rosch Recital Hall. We anticipate every seat will be filled for this extraordinary event.

In addition to the evening's performance, audience members will have the opportunity to choose from a broad range of spectacular packages that include such exclusive benefits as: VIP concert tickets, private pre-concert dinner and post-concert reception, deluxe overnight accommodations with breakfast, transportation to and from the hall, and recognition in printed materials. All attendees will enjoy an evening of unparalleled excellence, and will be part of a small group to have the distinction of officially opening the greatly anticipated Juliet J. Rosch Recital Hall.
