The Wind Conducting Symposium is a three-day intensive course with
Dr. Paula Holcomb and special guest,
Gary Hill, Director of Bands at
Arizona State University. Designed to enhance the skills of conductors at every level, topics will include repertoire choices, rehearsal techniques, baton technique,ensemble development,
score study, and recruiting. Masterworks and new compositions of all levels will be explored and conducted. Musical interpretation, movement and conducting technique will be discussed. Podium time will be included for those wishing to incorporate new techniques.
It is possible to enroll in either class independently, however most students find it worthwhile to register for both classes, which are scheduled back-to-back for your convenience.
Graduate Credit is available for both classes.

2008 Clinic Fees
Participant (podium time; no graduate credit): $300 per course
Auditor (no podium time; no credit): $150 per course
Graduate Credit: $337.45 per credit hour (for NYS residents); $504.45 (for non-NYS residents)
