A STEP student dinner
The SUNY Fredonia-Seneca Nation STEP Program's purpose is to assist historically under-represented and economically disadvantaged secondary school students to acquire the necessary skills to undertake collegiate study in scientific, technical, and health-related fields. STEP provides student-focused enrichment services and activities, such as:
Tutoring in core subject areas, especially math and science- Library research skills
- Academic and career counseling
- Standardized Test (SAT/ACT) preparation
- College visits
- Cultural awareness activities
- Recognition for student achievement
- Academic competitions (Math/Science Bowl)
- Field trips
