SUNYWide Film Festival

The SWFF is very excited about this year’s workshops. We will be conducting two FREE hands-on workshops during the festival.

Workshop 1 - Light Painting

Friday Nov. 9th

Immediately after the second student showcase screening.

Approximate start time 10:00pm in Jewett Hall Rm 101

Fredonia Media Arts Club students will lead a

light painting workshop. This hands on event will

introduce participants to the concepts and

techniques of long exposure photography and

painting with light.

Participants wanting to create work should bring a camera such as a digital SLR camera that can be manually controlled and any form of safe light source.

Workshop 2 - Storyboards In The Digital Age of Hollywood

Saturday Nov. 10th

10am in McEwen Hall Rm 106

The second workshop will be lead by our guest juror Marc Baird. The workshop will introduce participants to the tools available to the storyboard artist including, Animatics, 3D Set Design, and Motion Capture, as well as traditional hand-drawn storyboards. Participants will create storyboards for a given scene as directed by specific types of directors Mr. Baird has worked with in the industry.
