Who Should Consider Applying for 3-1-3? |
||
|
The 3-1-3 program is for the interested, committed and motivated student. Certainly, academic ability is needed, but 3-1-3 is not a program for only the most academically gifted. A wide variety of students have used the 3-1-3 year as a beginning to a successful college experience. The SUNY Fredonia Admissions Office is responsible for admitting students to the program. 3-1-3 students are selected on the same basis as regularly admitted freshmen. The mean for these freshmen includes an average of 89 percent in a Regents program and scores of 1110 on the SAT and/or 24 on the ACT exams. Certainly, students at or above these standards could consider themselves very strong candidates for admission to 3-1-3. Students somewhat below might also qualify for admission with strong recommendations and supplemental records. Important additional factors in 3-1-3 admission are a very good attendance record through high school and positive specific recommendations from the high school guidance department. Interested students can apply online or obtain a SUNY application from their high school's Guidance Office. The application deadline for 3-1-3 applicants is May 1. Please contact the Admissions office at 1-800-252-1212 or admissions.office@fredonia.edu if you have any questions regarding the application process. Quick Link: Web Application Form.
