Was
there anything about the 3-1-3 program that you would want us to change? |
What
advice would you share with high school students thinking about
participating in 3-1-3? |
| Boston College |
Elementary Education |
Let students know more about credits not transferable. |
Make sure your high school doesn't offer more AP's because it's more
accepted universally accepted at schools. |

the accessibility for students to return to the campus besides their
classes--i.e.: extra curricular activities that create friendships
and allow other 3-1-3 students to meet and get back together through
the semester, also 3-1-3 study groups |
Be aware that you may feel like you do not fit in both at high school
and college. Its an excellent opportunity but can be very socially
challenging. Good luck. :-) |

Make sure the college you want to go to will accept SUNY credits
and see how they count the high school classes. I was lucky, RIT accepted
the SUNY credits and they took place of my gen ed classes there. And
I got credit for the high school classes, though they didn't replace
any RIT classes. |

It would be nice if you told us at the beginning of sign-ups that
it would be beneficial and that we were allowed to take 3+ classes
each semester. |
Be prepared to DEDICATE yourself, but it's worth it in the end. |

DO IT! Great start to college, makes freshman year. SO much easier. |

The parking was a pain at times, but other than that the program
was helpful and saved me money in the long-run. |
Make sure you are willing to be distanced from your high school and
make sure you keep track of what is going on at high school if you
want to stay "in the loop". Also, go to your classes at college, ,
you can't pass if you don’t, especially with professors with attendance
policies. Make sure the colllege you're going to will accept your credits
from Fredonia. SUNY schools accept most, but I would think you'd have
trouble if you're going to a private school. Ask ahead of time before
you waste money. |

I think it is an excellent way to get a jump start on your future
education and 313 helps you to prep for college; the work as well as
life style. |

There was no outstanding feature that I would recommend changing
involving the 3-1-3 program. |
I was ready for college earlier than most students who were seniors
in my school. I would recommend that if anyone feels this way, they
explore the option of 3-1-3. I enjoyed the experience and it made me
much more comfortable and at home when I came to UB. |

No, I really enjoyed program. |
I's a great program? It really helps prepare you for college and
also makes the transfer from high school to college much easier. |

I would share that 3-1-3 program was an excellent "jump start." It
helped me very much. |

Iwould strongly recommend the 3-1-3 program because it is a good
experience being able to go to college before hs is done with. |

Advisement from the high school could have been better (Fredonia
Central) |
I would say research more about each class you are considering to
make sure is is what you think it is, and make sure it is something
that will count for CCCs and something you have never experienced before. |

Don't worry, no one knows you're in high school unless you act immature
with your friends. Talk to your professors. They love it! |
| SUNY Geneseo |
Psychology |
I don't think the 3 assignments for self evaluation thru the year
were necessary. |
It’s a good transition to college. |

I’s a great opportunity, especially if your school doesn't offer
AP classes. It feels good when you get to college and can tell ur friends
about how you've already taken college classes. |

Make sure that colleges you are looking at will accept the credits
you earn. However, even if they don't, it is still very useful to have
this experience. when you enter college. |

Definitely participate in 313. It is a good opportunity to get ahead
in college. |

Although you may miss out on a few things going on in your high school,
313 is an experience that will help you adjust to your future at college.
It’s a taste of freedom for those curious about what is beyond high
school, and something you will never forget! |

Athletic Training |
Not really, I loved it! |
I is one of the most beneficial experiences I've had in high school.
I was able to register as a sophomore for 2nd semester and that made
everything easier. My comfort level on my 1st day was very high. I
felt much more prepared & ready for college. I would recommend it to
every high school senior! |
