What is the "Liberal Arts Freshman Year Experience"?

The process of Liberal Arts Freshman Year Experience (LAFYE) has existed at Fredonia for years, namely, helping undecided students select an appropriate academic program to pursue. In 2001, the process was formalized into a program. First, all Fredonia freshmen who have not yet declared a major are considered "Liberal Arts" students.

Next, these students are required to embark on a freshman-year-long exploration. The goal: to help students combine their talents, hopes and dreams with what Fredonia has to offer.

The experience begins in the fall semester of your freshman year.
