Dr. Ingrid Johnston-Robledo
I am an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department. I am a feminist psychologist with areas of expertise in Social and Health Psychology. I teach courses like Introduction to Women’s Studies, Psychology of Women, Women’s Health, and Human Sexuality. My research interests concern women’s health, reproductive health education, and women’s experiences with pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, postpartum adjustment, and motherhood. In my most recent publications, I examined the link between women’s body shame and their attitudes toward reproductive functions such as menstruation and breastfeeding. I also hold some national leadership roles. I currently serve as Secretary-Elect to the American Psychological Association’s Division 35 (Society for the Psychology of Women) and am an elected member of the Board for the Society for Menstrual Cycle Research.
