What you have before you is a paper written by Pam Westman, the 1999 grad assistant for the Women's Studies department. This paper is an almost complete out line of the journey that the department took from creation to demise to rebirth. From the early 70's through the mid 90's, the department went through numerous changes in its' quest to bring social consciousness to the academia world at SUNY Fredonia.
