The State University of New York at Fredonia is searching for the next president to lead this gem of the SUNY system.

A Message from Frank Pagano, chair of the Presidential Search Committee

This is a very important time for the State University of New York at Fredonia, as the college begins the search for its next leader. It is an exciting and pivotal opportunity for a new leader to bring a new vision that will allow Fredonia to flourish for years to come.

As you may know, Dr. Virginia Horvath, Fredonia's 13th president, retired at the end of the 2018-19 academic year after serving seven years as president. Former President Dr. Dennis Hefner returned to campus this year to serve as our interim president.

Fredonia is now launching a nationwide search for its next president. The college has retained the services of Storbeck Search & Associates, a nationally-recognized executive search firm to assist in the search. A campus search committee has been appointed representing many campus areas and groups.

For prospective applicants, this page will help you get to know Fredonia better. For students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members, this page provides an overview and updates on the search process.
