Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has internship opportunities every semester. As an intern, you will support staff with constituent outreach and advocacy events, participate in meetings with community leaders and organizations, help to monitor daily regional news as well as advocate on behalf of Buffalo for the Senator. Spring 2015 Intern

"I am an intern at Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand's Buffalo Office for the Spring semester. My job is to represent Senator Gillibrand’s stances on issues to her Western New York constituents, support staff members with constituent outreach and advocacy events, participate in meetings with community leaders and organizations, conduct research on the communities in Western New York, and monitor daily regional news. My project for the semester is to research the Senator's "Opportunity Plan," specifically her proposed bill on Paid Family and Medical Insurance Leave (the FAMILY Act). Throughout the semester, I will be focusing on educating WNY businesses on the important of paid family leave."
