Dr. Carney is an Associate Professor of Social Work and was the Fredonia Social Work Program's founding director. She began her career as an advanced generalist social worker. She held professional positions at Catholic Charities of Buffalo and the Schofield Residence before entering academia. Prior to coming to Fredonia in 1997, she taught at Morehead State University and was an adjunct for the University of Kentucky's MSW program. After all these years, she continues to be passionate about teaching the art and science of generalist social work.
