College of Visual & Performing Arts

Fredonia offers the most diverse performing arts in the State University of New York

Fredonia offers the most degree programs in the arts in the State University of New York.

Through innovative education and experience, the College of Visual and Performing Arts prepares students for contemporary careers requiring skill, collaboration, creativity, and perseverance. We produce and present diverse, high quality, and affordable arts and entertainment as one of the most active cultural centers in Western New York.

Fredonia’s Visual and Performing Arts students learn by doing. The recently-expanded Rockefeller Arts Center houses classrooms, rehearsal halls, and spacious, well-equipped art studios, dressing rooms, scenery and costume shops. Approximately 43,000 people attend more than 150 events and performances annually by Fredonia's academic departments, student organizations, and community groups. The arts complex, with its three concert halls, three theaters and two art galleries, serves as a showcase for the talented students and faculty in Fredonia's strong arts programs and as a venue for national and international touring artists.
