2015-16: Final presentations on Thursday, October 20th, 2016, 4pm in the Rosch Recital Hall, State University of New York at Fredonia, Fredonia, NY 14063.  Free and open to the public, no tickets required.

Eve Beglarian is a composer, performer and audio producer based in New York City.  With videographer Matt Petty, she is creating “Lighten Up,” a multimedia music-theater piece inspired by Cleveland Turner and the visionary environment he created in Houston.  Follow Eve at Junk into Joy: The Flower Man’s Vision.  Her artist site is www.evbvd.com.

The duo of Lynn Neuman, choreographer, and Joshua Davis, composer, are well into the development of “Toss,” a dance/soundscape that examines overconsumption and today's throwaway mentality.  Visit Toss for the latest.  Artist site is Artichoke Dance.

2016-17: The Journey Begins

Juanita Rockwell begins her year-long development of Calutron Girls: A Play with Songs, at the Chautauqua Institution. The theme for Week 8 is War and Its Warriors, and Ms. Rockwell’s play explores the women who worked at the Oak Ridge nuclear facility, refining Uranium for the atomic bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. 

Juanita Rockwell is a writer and director specializing in the development of new work in new forms. Her projects in theatre, opera, radio, puppetry, multimedia, song and site-specific performance have been presented in two dozen cities worldwide. As artistic director of Company One Theater (Hartford, CT), she directed and produced premieres of such groundbreaking playwrights as Suzan-Lori Parks, Erik Ehn and Paula Vogel. She was founding director of Towson University’s experimental MFA in Theatre from1994 to 2005, and a founding guest artist in Wilkes University’s Low Residency Creative Writing MA/MFA.  Her work has been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, National Public Radio, a Rubys Artist Project Grant (Baltimore), and a Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award in Playwriting. Artist residencies include Ucross (WY), Djerassi (CA), PLAYA (OR), TSKW/The Studios of Key West (FL) and Wildacres (NC). She is a Fulbright Scholar and a member of Dramatists Guild and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.  More at www.juanitarockwell.com.
