Study in Portugal Network

Due to travel restrictions, programs are suspended through Spring 2021. Please consider your application for Fall 2021 or later.

Study in Portugal Network (SiPN) is a project of the non-profit Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD).  The program allows students to take classes at one of the four member universities in the SiPN network: ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon, University of Lisbon, Catholic University of Portugal and NOVA University of Lisbon. Additionally, students interested in practical experiences may participate in internships or research programs while studying with SiPN.

Course work is available in a variety of disciplines, including Natural Sciences, Business, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Art. Courses are taught in English but students may also take Portuguese language courses as part of their study. Students will be enrolled in courses with Portuguese students and other students from all over the world.

Lisbon is a fantastic city that blends its rich, global history with the conveniences of modern-day Europe.  In addition to a tremendous amount of history, students can explore Lisbon's trendy art, food, and music scenes, and also experience living on the coast. The rest of Europe is easily accessible from Lisbon, and there's lots to see and do in Portugal.  Lisbon is a small, accessible, and affordable city, and is easy to navigate without an Portuguese language background.
