The JEWEL Peer Advising Program provides incoming freshmen who attend EDP's JEWEL summer orientation with an upper-class peer advisor. PAs for JEWEL participate in the activities throughout the duration of the workshop serving as a role model/mentor to the students and assisting the EDP staff.

As successful students academically, peer advisors are knowledgeable about their majors and the campus, and can share their insights and experiences with the students. Selection of peer advisors is based on theirEDP freshmen, peer advisors, and staff - trip to Niagara Falls, NY leadership ability and commitment to helping others. Their job is to assist the freshmen by providing information, directions, and referrals to campus services; and listen to the students when they need to talk to a friendly person.
