Fredonia Radio Systems announces Rockin' The Spot on April 24

Rockin' The Commons, Fredonia Radio Systems' annual Roswell Park Cancer Institute fundraiser event/ concert usually held in April, has been moved to Sept. 27 in Barker Commons. The organization will be hosting an alternative spring event, Rockin' The Spot, at the Tim Hortons Café and Bake Shop in the Williams Center on Thursday, April 24.

Children’s Concerts Series concludes season on April 26

The Musical Journeys Program of the School of Music concludes its eighth season of free events designed to appeal to very young children, with half hour concerts on Saturday, April 26, at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. at the Dunkirk Free Library at 536 Central Ave. Selected student ensembles from the Fredonia School of Music are featured in the series during the academic year.

DuffleBag Theatre returns with 'Cinderella'

The Kaleidoscope Family Series at the Rockefeller Arts Center concludes its season with an interactive production of “Cinderella” with DuffleBag Theatre on Friday, April 25 at 7 p.m. in Marvel Theatre. Since being founded 1992, the “Nearly World Famous” DuffleBag Theatre has become one of the most celebrated companies in North America.

Lacrosse team defeats No. 20 Oneonta

The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team defeated SUNYAC opponent, No. 20 Oneonta, 13-8, at University Stadium on Saturday afternoon . The Blue Devils improved to 9-3 overall and 3-1 in the SUNYAC. Oneonta fell to 8-5 overall and 3-2 in the conference.

Today: panel to discuss diversity in higher education

“Who I Was to Who I Am,” a panel discussion to support the 2013-2014 Convocation theme, “Raising Cultural Awareness and Building Global Relations,” will take place on Friday, April 11, from noon to 2 p.m. in Williams Center Room 204E. The free event is intended for international faculty and students to come together and share their stories with the campus and community.

New features will shine at this year's SUNYWide Film Festival & Symposium

The 5th annual SUNYWide Film Festival & Symposium, to be hosted by SUNY Fredonia on April 10 to 12, will showcase the exceptional work of movie and filmmakers across the State University of New York system. The two-day competitive film festival will begin on Thursday, April 10, by celebrating the creation, research and instruction of the cinematic arts.
