COIL Brown Bag Series concludes on May 5

The Coordinator of International Learning (COIL) Brown Bag Lunch Series has been announced for the Spring 2014 semester. The presentations will take place in the McEwen Hall Room 214 conference room the first Monday of each month from noon to 12:50 p.m.

Liberal Arts and Sciences Brown Bag Lecture Series presents: 'Medicine and Technology'

The Liberal Arts and Sciences Brown Bag Lecture Series will be holding a “Medicine and Technology” free lecture on Tuesday, April 29, at noon in Williams Center Room S204. H. Gordon Deen, M.D., will address how technology has changed the field of medicine, in keeping with the technology theme that the Brown Bag Lecture established for the 2013-2014 series.

Panel to discuss interrelations of tribal, state and federal legal systems

A panel focused on criminal law enforcement as it relates to interrelations of tribal, state and federal legal systems will be held on Wednesday, April 23, at 7 p.m. in Thompson Hall Room W101. The discussion will feature Hilda Manuel, a member of the Native American group Tohono O'odham, and Cochise Redeye, a member of the Seneca Nation of Indians.

Students receive honorable mention in global math competition

A team of SUNY Fredonia students including Nicholas Ahlstrom, Christopher Shartrand and John Tucker competed in the 2014 Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM), sponsored by the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications. The team was recently notified that they received an honorable mention for their work.

School of Music joins areas to perform Bach masterpiece on April 16

The School of Music will combine their musical talents as the string, woodwind, choral and voice studios come together to present Johann Sebastian Bach's “Saint John Passion.” The powerful and timeless performance will be held in Rosch Recital Hall on Wednesday, April 16 at 8 p.m. The performance and a pre-concert lecture at 7 p.m. are free and open to the public.
