DFT Communications continues run as pops series sponsor in Rockefeller Arts Center
The DFT Communications Pops Series features a mix of popular musical styles including everything from light classics, jazz and Dixieland to show tunes and big band. Artists who have appeared in the series include Roger Williams, Dave Brubeck, the Four Freshmen and The Three Irish Tenors. DFT Communications has returned for its sixth season as the sponsor of the flagship entertainment series.
Marion Art Gallery hosting works of Buffalo artist Julian Montague
Julian Montague is a photographer, designer and installation artist living and working in Buffalo. Gallery hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Using different media, Montague’s work explores the relationship between animals and the built environment.
Rockefeller Pops Series opens with hits from the '60s, '70s, and '80s
The singers and musicians who were instrumental in the success of some of the great songs of the '60s, '70s, and '80s have come together to form a performing group known as The Hit Men, which will open the DFT Communications Pops Series on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in King Concert Hall.
Lake Shore Savings returns as season sponsor at Rockefeller Arts Center
For the sixth season, Lake Shore Savings has given $10,000 to support the arts in Northern Chautauqua County by becoming the season-wide sponsor for Rockefeller Arts Center. The investment supports such series as Mainstage, Kaleidoscope, and Pops.

Watching the scenes unfold in Dale Johnson’s travel/adventure film “Lure of Alaska,” a viewer is left with the clear impression that this can be a land of extreme contrasts. From season to season and from mile to mile, things can change quickly in this frontier state. Johnson, an award-winning nature filmmaker, will personally present “Lure of Alaska” on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. in King Concert Hall. It will be the opening event in the 2012-13 World Travel Series at Rockefeller Arts Center.
